About Ring Shapes ~ Convention dictates that most rings are round but rings can be designed in any shape. Square Shank - Square shanks are extremely comfortable and conform more to the shape of your finger. Your finger is squarish but rounded on the ends. Often times your knuckles are wider than your fingers, making it more difficult to slip on a ring. With a square shank, you rotate the ring 90 degrees. That extra width compensates for the knuckle width. You rotate it back for a perfect, comfortable fit. It also prevents the ring from rolling around your finger. Pricing - Silver rings start at $400.
